Volvo Trucks Presents Wilson Trucking with 500,000th Volvo Assembled in United States - Photos - Page 1

Volvo recently celebrated their 500,000 truck manufactured at the New River Valley Assembly plant located in Dublin, VA. Fittingly, the 500,000th tractor was sold to Wilson Trucking as was the very first unit to roll off of the assembly line when the plant was first opened.

The photos indicate the handing over of the keys to C.L. "Chuck" Wilson for the newest unit which is pictured along with the first one. Some of the Volvo employees were present for the ceremony that were also working the in the facility that produced the first truck. 

The milestone marked a new chapter in the long-time relationship between Volvo and Wilson Trucking. Both companies have enjoyed tremendous success over many years, and both employ many Virginians in the operation of their facilities and businesses.
