I know I am the first to complain when things
go wrong with carriers so I thought I would
be fair and send a compliment as well. Since
switching to Wilson, Port Orange Nursing
has been getting their orders early enough
to stop the complaining. Manor on the Green
likes Andy from Wilson so much he is requesting
that he get him on all of his deliveries.
I was also speaking to Ponce De Leon that
has been using Wilson right along since the
change and she went out of her way to compliment
her delivery driver Jerry and hopes he will
be the regular delivery person. Please let
Wilson know that their drivers are doing
a good job. Thank you for your help on this.
Thanks,

I had a skid of medical supplies delivered
to my business yesterday by Wilson Trucking
and the driver went out of his way to deliver
the items. Number one, we do not have a loading
dock; number 2, we do not have a tow motor;
number 3, we do have a pallet jack and what
made a big difference is that I am physically
challenged and I could not help him. My warehouse
guy was out on a delivery. Your driver was
kind enough to break the skid down, take
each case off and place on one of my skids
and even pulled the my skid into my warehouse.
I know for a fact that he did not have to
go to that extent, but he did.
I realized after he left that I did not get
his name. The name of my company is Provider
Enterprise in Hendersonville, TN. The PRO
# is xxxxxxxxx. I just wanted to let someone
know about this gentlemen.
Thanks.

January 18, 2010
Mr. Saunders,
I wanted to bring to your attention the actions
of Center Manager Brian at your Bristol facility. My
name is Jeff Harris and I do Business Development
for Southem Air, Inc. based in Roanoke,VA.
We are a large mechanical construction company
that specializes in HVAC preventative maintenance.
We have been in business since 1946, employing
over 750 people, and our home office is in
Lynchburg, VA.
On Monday January 11th, we had a shipment
that was placed with TPI in Johnson City,
TN. Originally on Friday we were promised,
by TPI, delivery on Tuesday for a job in
Front Royal, VA. On Monday the 11th, they
could not guarantee that the shipment would
be shipped out in time. This was a job of
great importance that we needed to have happen
on Tuesday for ourcustomer with no excuses.
It was late in the day and everyone from
TPI had gone home. With no other option to
make sure the shipment would ship I contacted
your facility in Bristol and spoke with Brian.
He told me that his driver would be there
within l5 minutes and he would make sure
they picked up the shipment. Brian also stated
to me that he would call me back and let
me know that they did in fact pick up the
shipment and that it would get shipped to
your Winchester location. Sure enough, roughly
30-40 minutes later Brian called me and gave
me that very information. He also asked if
there was anything else he could do and then
wished me well on the job.
On Tuesday morning I was up by 5:00am tracking
the freight and making sure that it did not
get hung up in Roanoke and that it was in
route to Winchester, which it was. At that
point, I called the Winchester facility and
spoke with Fred. He said to call him back
in a little while and he would let me know
that he had the freight and when he could
get it delivered. When I called Fred back,
he had the freight, but would not be able
to get it delivered when I wanted it. THIS
WAS NOT APROBLEMI I told him because of our
commitments we would come by the facility
and pick up.He kept apologizing, but again,
this was of high importance and we needed
the shipment first thing. He told me he would
be glad to help our guy get it loaded when
he came by to pick up.My employee called
me after he picked up the shipment and stated,
"they were very nice and very helpful,
and helped me load it into the van".
Thank you to Fred and his team!
Not 45 minutes later, after talking to our
employee about getting the shiprnent from
Fred, Brian called me. He was just calling
to let me know that the shiprnent was in
Winchester. He stated, "Icould sense
the concern in your voice yesterday of the
importance of your job and needing this freight,
and just wanted to keep you up to date where
it was". Wow! Are you kidding me? He
did not have to call. As far as I was concerned,
he was a GREAT help to me the day before
and did everything he could then to ensure
the shiprnent was being taken care of.
I wanted to stress to you the great pleasure
and satisfaction that I felt in dealing with
your whole team but especially with Brian.
When Brian called, I asked him what his function
was, and he stated that he was the Center
Manager. I could not thank him enough for
his support.
Jeffrey, too often times, we only hear about
the things gone wrong or the areas of opportunities
that we have with our people or our service.
Let me tell you, Brian went above and beyond
to take care of my needs and I wanted to
make sure you were aware of that. It is that
type of TRULY CARING FOR THE CUSTOMER that
makes companies like yours second to none.
Please, again, pass along my thanks to Brian
for exceeding the customer's expectations.
And yes, the job was completed and our customer
was very satisfied.
Sincerely,
Jeff Hanis

Dear Mr. Collier,
I wanted to drop you a note to compliment

have used Wilson Trucking over the past 9
years under the companies of Peterson Distribution

no other sales representative, of any vendor,
that has had the commitment to customer service
that I have received from Ferris. Always
the professional, Ferris has gone above and

that the needs of my clients and me are met.
So many times we forget to take the time

Bill,
I want to let the DM know about a Terminal
Manager with Wilson Trucking. Steve Cox attempted
to make a pick up for me that 3 other companies
could not achieve.
Although he also could not make the pick
up (steep driveway, residential) ,he has
gone above and beyond the call of duty in
his willingness to solve this problem,
going to lengths I would not expect of anyone.
The customer probably won’t go forward, since
the revised rate is now probably higher than
the value of the returning product,
nonetheless, I think it is important to recognize
Steve for his professionalism and willingness
to help. I will definitely favor Wilson in
the future for any shipments in his region.
Too often, people are quick to recognize
failures that our carriers experience. I
think it is important to let it be known
that Wilson Trucking displays the OUTSTANDING
Customer Service that we all desire to do
our jobs well.

helpful and very pleasant. I had a terrible

very pleasant voice on the other end. That
young man did all he could to reach the driver

Mr. Houser,
I am writing this email because of an experience
my son had today, with your driver, Greg.
For most of his life, our son has been taught
about the value of good customer service
and recognizes it when he sees it. I manage
commercial and residential properties in
the Charlottesville Area and my husband owns
a remodeling company. Our son has worked
for both of our companies. He made it a point
to call me, as soon as the furniture was
delivered today, to say that Greg was very
friendly, professional and exceptionally
thorough.
All too often managers and co-workers hear
the negative and the positive experiences
get unrecognized and/or forgotten. I can
tell you our son will not forget this positive
experience and my company will use Wilson
Trucking, whenever possible, in the future.
Our sincere thanks to Greg; please pass this
on to him and thank him for all of us.

I wanted to take the time to pass along a
few good words about your driver Larry S.
He has been delivering to us for some time
and he consistently goes above and beyond
his duties to help us carry in or move any
large items. Today, in the pouring rain,
Larry stood out in the rain and helped us
move in eleven large flat screens and sixteen
other pieces while we had to shift things
around in our stock room to accommodate for
the new inventory. Larry never complained
and had a very positive attitude all the
while saying he was just glad to help out.
Along with his very helpful attitude Larry
is also always very careful with the shipments
and treats them as if they were his own.
It is nice to find people who still care
about their job and try hard to do the best
they can.
Thanks for the wonderful service and thank
Larry again for his hard work on behalf of

to be impressed that well that fast speaks
volumes for Mr. Smith.
Please let him know as well as others that
actions speak louder than words and his actions

I have also requested that a salesman contact

Jerry,
I just wanted to let you know that we had
to call your truck back after they had already
made their regular pick up on Wednesday of
this week for a last minute shipment that
had to leave our dock THAT day. We made the
call for them to come back at approximately
4 pm and your driver was here to pick up
within 20 minutes after our call.
This was very important as the shipment was
for a new customer who was not very familiar
with our LTL cut-off times. Because your
driver was able to come back, Wilson picked
up two additional shipments that day. It
goes without saying that in this day and
time we need to go the extra mile for our
customers and it's evident to me that Wilson
shares in that philosophy.
Our customer was very grateful to us for
being able to get that shipment out same-day
and in turn I'm very grateful to you and
all the staff at Wilson for making it happen.
We continue to receive great service from
you, and all the staff at Wilson.
Many thanks!! Keep up the GREAT work!

Good day JC. I hope you are doing well.
Earlier this week, WTVA NFK handled the drayage
of 5 reefer containers for me. The booking
with the ocean carrier was somewhat last
minute, but the Container Operations staff
in NFK got them all handled nicely. Yesterday,
I found out that one of the containers literally
missed the boat, due to a stevedore error.
In order to avoid this perishable commodity
from experiencing further delay of 12 days,
I was able to re-book with another ocean
carrier.
Your staff quickly came to the rescue picking
up up both the delayed container (loaded)
and an empty from another carrier and taking
both to the NFK yard and transloading. Also,
a separate booking for an additional container
with the other ocean carrier was made - as
a result of the quick response time of the
WTVA staff. I have opened a satellite office
at the farm recently which will enable me
to grow this export business, so I look forward
to this growth with your professional staff.
I commend the sense of ownership by Shawn
Pepple and Sue Core at the NFK facility.
They communicated with me thoroughly throughout
the day yesterday and today which enabled
my colleague Bernadette Proctor and I to
be able to go back to the client and let
them know of the missed vessel, but MORE
IMPORTANTLY, let them know that a solution
had already been developed, thus eliminating
delay to the end user in the U.K.
Nice job to the WTVA team!

Mark

I had a Victory refrigerator delivered yesterday
(1/21/09) by a Wilson driver. I can’t quite
decipher all of his name from the freight
bill but it appears to be Rich B or something
like that. There is a consignee record number
of xxxxxxxx on the paperwork he left me if
that helps identify him.
I just wanted to let your company know how
very refreshing it was to meet this young
man. He was extremely courteous and very
respectful and helpful. Your company should
feel a great sense of pride in having an
employee of this caliber.

On December 23, 2008 at about 3:00 I had
the pleasure of meeting and having the help
of one of your drivers. Roger arrived at
my building and contacted the proper point
of contact for the delivery, who happened
to be out for the day. I was contacted to
receive the delivery but was 20 minutes away
from the delivery location. Upon my arrival
I noted that the three pallets of new computers
were on the loading dock. When Roger asked
me to sign for delivery, I said that I would
oblige as soon as the pallets were moved
to the 18th floor. Roger informed me that
delivery was only authorized to the loading
dock.
I am not sure whether it was the discouraged
look on my face having been baited by the
guy who was supposed to receive this shipment
and is on vacation or Roger noticing that
I was wearing a jacket clearly identifying
me as a Disabled American Veteran or if it
was his Christmas sprit, but Roger moved
my three pallets off the dock into a secure
area. That is what I call customer service.
I thanked Roger yesterday, but please pass
my thanks on again as it is well deserved.

Dear Sir,
My name is Melanie Johnson and I would like
to share with you a pleasant experience I
had with one of your drivers, Ronnie Warren.
I am a quadriplegic from a motor vehicle
accident versus an eighteen wheeler. I was
expecting a delivery with your company today,
Friday, December 12. When your dispatcher,
Lisa, called to set-up the delivery, I asked
if the driver would call my aid’s cell phone
so I could leave my physical therapy early
to accept delivery. She very politely informed
me that he would call her cell one hour prior
to the drop off.
Anxiously waiting for my furniture, my aid
and I left therapy early. We had just entered
my home when Ronnie Warren called. He informed
me that he was a couple of exits near me,
but had to be several miles away at a certain
time and “would it be a terrible inconvenience
if he made my delivery at 5:00 p.m., instead
of 4:00 p.m.”
I’m writing you to tell you how impressed
I am with Mr. Warren. I appreciate his honesty
and integrity he displayed today. As I’m
sure you’re aware, the cable or any other
utility company gives you a time frame on
when they will show up and sometimes, but
rarely, even show up.
Mr. Warren’s promptness, politeness, and
professionalism is refreshing in today’s
society.
Very Respectfully,
Melanie Johnson

Hi,
I am Carol, with McKesson customer service.
I am taking a moment to tell you good things
about one of your Wilson Drivers. One of
our customers, Kim Cote (of Avante at Boca
Raton), says she "loooves" her
Wilson driver. His name is Marcius. He is
so patient and he has to zig zag through
their crowded aisles to make their delivery.
He is always a joy to see and you can time
your watch to him. She really likes that
he comes about the same time every delivery.
If he does not show up, she starts to worry.
We in customer service cannot say enough
about how much we like to hear the good things.
He came in while I was on the phone with
her and I told her to tell him to keep up
the good work.

Dave,
I think you know us by now. We are not afraid
to raise issues or concerns. As we stated
in our meeting, Wilson is meeting all our
expectations.
We agree we have moved from a vendor/customer
relationship to a partner relationship. Day
to day operations need to maintain their
current service in delivery, damage and communications.
I have no doubt this will happen

David,
Recently, someone from your Charlotte terminal
noticed smoke around our Statesville Road
Facility next door and called the Fire Department.
As it turned out, it was smoke from another
source which turned out to be a blown tractor
tire and resulted in a false alarm. This
was good. It also set into motion our back
up plan which worked as we had devised it
with managers being notified as well as other
key personnel.
The point of my email is to thank you and
your associates at Wilson for taking the
time to call and for being a good neighbor
to Bonded. It’s appreciated and a sincere
thanks is in order to let you know how nice
it is to have good neighbors that watch your
property. Had the event been a real incident,
we would have been well protected by the
early notification that came via Wilson Trucking
Company.
Please make sure this gets to the proper
person(s) and special thanks from Bonded
Logistics.

To whom it may concern,
I deal with the ladies that work in your
Charlotte terminal almost on a daily basis.
Lori James and Tracey Wood are the two that
I deal with the most; however, I have talked
to others when these two are not available.
I always get great service and assistance
and have grown to know these ladies on somewhat
of a personal level. There are always professional
and helpful. If I have a question that they
are not able to answer themselves, they make
the extra effort to get an answer for me.
I hope that you will make sure that their
work does not go unappreciated. Having contacts
that are as knowledgeable and kind as they
are makes my job at Lennox much easier.
Thank You,

I received a phone call from Ruth with Davis
Frost today about some of their customers.
She said that they wanted to pass along to
us how courteous and helpful our drivers
are when they are making deliveries.
The first customer is Power of Color in Richmond
and the other is Swann Paint, in Reidsville,
NC.
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank you all for the hard work and please,
pass this along to the delivery drivers so
they will know that their work is much appreciated
and well worth the effort.
In this day and time we don't get too many
compliments so I wanted to pass this along
to your respective terminals.
Thanks again and keep up the great work.

Ladies,
THANK YOU BOTH for all your efforts yesterday.
It is not often, anymore, that you can call
somewhere for assistance and receive the
type of customer care that you both extended
to me. not only were you both very cordial
and patient with my MANY phone calls and
questions, but you also took the time to
call me back with alternate solutions.
With your assistance, my driver picked up
around 3 am this morning and was back to
our plant in plenty of time to meet our production
needs and supply our employees with a full
working day.
We will certainly keep your Company at the
the top of the list in the future when deciding
which carriers to use for our shipments.
Again, Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.

Mr. Collier,
I had to take a minute and let you know what
an asset Leanne is for Wilson trucking!!
I called very late in the afternoon on Thursday,
April 3 for assistance to get several deliveries
set up for early next morning delivery. Leigh
Ann was polite, professional, patient and
so very smooth in assisting me with these
issues. She went above and beyond last night
when she called my cell to let me know everything
was set up and not to worry…I had to leave
early for an appointment. She managed to
top that by checking these deliveries today
(on her day off, I knew she was off because
the last e-mail I sent her yesterday I received
her out of office) and calling me to confirm
all deliveries were made. I was very impressed,
as I have called trucking companies literally
hundreds of times a month and have never
had such a delightful experience. I was working
with Buddy today and he was very pleasant
as well …You are very fortunate to have such
fine employees!! KUDOS TO YOUR TEAM!!

Good afternoon,
I am the Site Manager of a newly expanded
Veterans Administration outpatient clinic
in Baltimore, MD. I am under a lot of pressure
to meet demands of this expansion while we
are still seeing our veterans during all
of it. I wanted to stop everything to give
kudos to your driver who just delivered some
sinks to our clinic. All I know is his first
name, Carlton. His trailer was xxxxxx and
the shipper’s no is xxxxxxxx. I wish I had
more information because I am sure a large
company like yourselves with amazing rewards
(I’ve been on your website) has some form
of recognizing a job well done. He went out
of his way to accommodate the precise delivery
of his many palettes. He mentioned that he
normally drops them off on a loading dock,
but we do not have one. He had to maneuver
through the clinic and left each one of these
pallets wherever I asked him too. He was
most willing to please me and did so with
a pleasant attitude.
Please convey my appreciation to Mr. Carlton.
I’ve included the construction company TMI
on this email so they can see what type of
service their requested vendors are supplying.

I wanted to take this opportunity to send
this email because of the outstanding service
I receive from the fine folks at your Lexington,
SC terminal. If all of your terminals operated
as this one does I believe your customer
base would be filled with customers as loyal
to your company as we are here at Merritt
Veterinary Supplies, Inc.
Just this week we shipped a pallet of canine
food (referenced above) to the Vice President
of Hill’s Pet Nutrition whose pet food we
distribute in the Carolinas and part of GA.
This was not the first time we had done this
movement but as usual once I contacted Doris
I knew everything on Lexington’s end would
be handled with no problems. Doris kept me
in informed of all of the details even when
the deliver had been made so that I could
contact Mr. Wages to confirm. Mr. Wages once
again commended me on my choice of LTL carriers
and I let him know I considered Wilson Freight
one of the best. I also recommended that
he let his other distributors and in house
DC’s know of the quality of service Merritt
Veterinary Supplies, Inc. receives from Wilson.
Too often shipping managers only find the
time to complain about service and pricing
but I wanted to take this time to thank:
Mike Tuten, Tom Elkins, Dan Runion, Tim Starks,
and the best LTL Customer Service Rep. I
have dealt with in 22 years of freight, Doris
Jones. You have an outstanding terminal in
Lexington and if I can do anything to promote
or help your business in this area please
do not hesitate to call on me.
With the utmost respect for your company:
Sincerely yours,

Joe (Williams) had a delivery on pro xxxxxxxx
today. This was supposed to go to a forwarder
in Miami but was consigned to the buyer in
Miramar in error. Consignee wanted to refuse
the shipment and have it come back to the
terminal for reconsignment which would have
created a return. Joe took the initiative
to prevent this. He got the information on
where the shipment was moving to in Miami
and called me. We were able to spot quote
the move for Auto Leather and we secured
the new shipment. By doing this Joe was able
to secure a clear delivery and create an
extra outbound shipment for the terminal.
When drivers like Joe Williams step up and
take the path less traveled, it puts Wilson
Trucking in a whole other light in the customers'
eyes.

Dear Mr. Wilson,
I'm writing this letter to inform you of
my several, very pleasant, delivery experiences
with one of your employees, Mr. Chris Locklear.
I needed some mattresses delivered before
Thanksgiving because I was having a holiday
family reunion dinner weekend and I needed
the beds for my guests. I was notified by
the company that I had purchased the beds
from that they had been shipped and was advised
to contact Wilson Freight in Exmore for delivery
information.
I called your Exmore branch and spoke with
Mr. Locklear and advised him of my dilemma.
Not only was Mr. Locklear very pleasant,
helpful and very easy to deal with but he
went out of his way to make sure that the
beds were delivered in time so that my holiday
family reunion would not be spoiled. I give
him high praise.
This occasion was not the first time dealing
with Mr. Locklear. There were several other
occasions and I have to say all were handled
equally extremely professional, very pleasant,
uneventful experiences.
Mr. Chris Locklear clearly is one of the
nicest, most helpful, most professional and
most pleasant service persons that I have
had the pleasure to come in contact with
in a long time.
Thank you, Mr. Wilson, for having him as
an employee.

Dale,
Just wanted to pass along because it was
so sincere and so from the heart... Yesterday
when I was at Moeller Marine, James (the
relatively new shipping manager that took
over Jeff's position) pulled me aside to
tell me just how impressed he was.... of
all the TL & LTL trucklines he has to
deal with (which is quite a few) David is
bar-none a cut --way-- above the rest. Most
dispatchers are a pain in the "buttocks"
(he used another word) and tell lies all
the time to "cover themselves,"
but David is as honest and nice to deal with
as can be, and he really, really appreciated
that. He said "there is not another
carrier that even comes close to the level
of service that David provides."
(((( It made me feel really proud!)))

From dropping trailers for us to load, to
picking up after hours, they showed why they

mile to make sure we were serviced properly

We, here at Gutter Suppliers appreciated
all they did. They should all be commended.

me to pass along a message to everyone at

Riverside Paper appreciates everything Wilson

The way the Miami team provides the equipment

with starting up a new distribution warehouse.
The way Walt's team stepped up and resolved
a problem with some freight going to Jacksonville
last week scored huge points with ownership

thanks to Jimmy and his people. The next
piece of the puzzle will be moving the LTL
coming out of Tampa.

I had a delivery to my home today and I wanted

job. Greg was so conscientious of our property
and our neighbor's property.
I thought it was absolutely impossible for
him to back into our long narrow driveway
without leaving huge tire ruts in our yard
or our neighbor's yard, but he took his time
and did it perfectly even though the ground
is sopping wet from all the rain we have
had. He can DRIVE a tractor trailer! When
he finally backed all the way to our house,
he put our delivery exactly where we requested,
which was in a small area. I would have been
pulling my hair out doing all of that, but
he never complained. He was calm and polite
throughout it all. You have a good employee

To whom it may concern:
I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge
the works of your driver today. I arrived
home today expecting a delivery and did not
see one, I called your office and they called
the driver and the driver said it was in
the garage (because it looked like it may
rain). I had not even thought of checking
there. A little while later the driver came
back by just to make sure everything was
alright and that the delivery was received
well.
He went above and beyond what I see most
drivers do. He took time to place then equipment
inside from the rain and came by to make
sure everything was fine. He was very nice
and polite.
We always have great dealing with each of
your drivers and I just want to say kudos

I would like to thank Wilson Trucking employee
David Alt for the pleasant way he handled
a very difficult day for me on Friday, September
14th.
I was at Guadalajara, E Market Street, in
Charlottesville, VA, and I had been there
since 10:00am putting together replacement
furniture and packing up the outdoor furniture
to be returned to Outdoor Lifestyle, Stanley
NC
There was approximately 25 pcs of large furniture
that I had taken apart and packed up for
return. Around 2:00pm I was informed that
the restaurant did not have any place to
store all of this until Monday when I could
find a freight line to pick up, and to add
to my misery it was beginning to rain.
I called my office and they called Wilson
Trucking and the dispatcher said she would
try to get someone by Guadalajara for pick
up.
As it turned out I was not quite finished
with the job when David Alt arrived. David
was very pleasant and helpful with helping
me get all of this onto his truck.
I truly appreciate the manner in which he
handled himself.
I had my secretary call and find out this
person's name and she talked with Donnie

Please let David know his actions were greatly
appreciated.

Mr. Jim Clark
Vice President of Operations, Region 1
Wilson Trucking Corp.
Dear Mr. Clark,
Your secretary said I should follow up my
phone call with an email. I am happy to comply.
Today (9-14-2007) I visited the Norfolk terminal
for the first time, to drop off freight.
The facility grounds were immaculate—tractors
were parked ‘car lot’ neat, there was no
trash in/on the ramp area—it looked ready
for a military inspection. (I have been in
a few).
Not having been there before, I walked inside
and found the office, inside a lady and gentleman
immediately noticed me, greeted me with a
smile and asked how they could help. (I apologize,
I did not get names—I was in a bit of a hurry
today, my best guess is the gentleman is
the Norfolk terminal director.) Inside the
building (of what I saw) was just as neat
and clean as the outside area.
I explained that I was a bit of a ‘newbie’
at shipping and needed to ship 9 cartons,
3rd party to Orvis in Roanoke. They provided
me the bill of lading, a pen (mine had gone
missing) a desk to work, and a person to
point out which blocks to check. While I
was filling the form, they brought in a man
from the dock, introduced me, and said he
would help me get things loaded and complete
the paperwork. He brought the forklift and
skids, we loaded the cartons up, completed
the paperwork and I was on my way in under
10 minutes. It would have been faster had
I known my part better. Next time I will.
Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful.
At one time, I was a Chrysler salesman and
went through quite a bit of their customer
service training. To crib from them, this
interaction with the Norfolk, Wilson Trucking
terminal was a “Gold Star Moment.” It just
cannot get any better.
I have dropped off product at a couple of
the ‘Brand-X’ terminals in the Tidewater
area because some of my other accounts use
them for their third party shipping. I have
not taken the time to call their offices
and send a note. They did the job and were
‘okay’ but the difference in customer service
is like a Big Box department store and Nordstrom’s.
Currently most of my shipping is small and
single carton shipping handled by FedEx and
larger orders are 3rd party paid (which,
I do not mind). If my business grows to need
LCL shipments, I will be contacting Wilson
Trucking, first.
Best,

should have been) and after finding the note
that "delivery had been attempted",
I called Wilson at 1-866-645-7405. The man
who answered was most courteous and helpful
and had your driver headed back in very short
order. I met the driver in front of the business
and he was MOST HELPFUL in getting the freight
transferred to my truck. I know that is his
job, but he did it with professionalism and
reflected credit on Wilson Trucking Corporation.
Would you please convey my appreciation to
Wilson Trucking management for Mr. Joe Williamson
who delivered to A to Z Sewing & Vacuum
on 8-29-07.
Thank you,

Dear Mr. Rogers,
I wanted to thank you and Wilson Trucking
Corp for the assistance on an urgent shipment
for our military. This was an emergency rush
order for our troops. I called Wilson, spoke
briefly with Jim Davis who managed to locate
you and you arranged for the two trucks to
pick up our order, and deliver it the next
morning to North Carolina, where it was repalletized
for international shipment and sent out on
a special plane for the troops.
We very much appreciate this help and I am
sure that our troops, who will benefit from
this, would join me in thanking you if they
knew!
I am attaching a copy of two of our newsletters
which explain a little about what we do.
Again, thank you for stepping up to the plate
on this one!

Mr. Bill Reel, Regional Sales Director
Wilson Trucking Corporation

Mr. Reel,
Please allow me a moment to commend one of
Wilson Trucking's greatest assets, Judy Carr.
Judy has earned our respect and admiration
with her professionalism; which is rare to
find nowadays. Judy is extremely efficient,
knowledgeable, responsible, attentive, courteous,
and patient.
On many occasions, we've had important shipments
which have required special attention. Per
our request, Judy (without hesitation) has
monitored such shipments to ensure a prompt
and flawless delivery. This may not seem
like a great deal but it is crucial to us.
Royal Labs' customers keep us in business
and we want to be able to provide them with
the best service available; with Judy's help,
we've managed to do that time and time again.
We can always call Judy with any problem
and she quickly responds with a solution.
Granted, we at Royal Labs are a difficult
bunch but Judy (God Bless her heart) always
manages to rise to the occasion,
Royal Labs deals with other representatives
from other trucking companies and they do
not possess the knowledge or skills that
Judy does. Whenever the opportunity presents
itself, we proudly use Judy Carr as an excellent
example of great customer service.
You are very fortunate to have Judy as an
employee. She is definitely an asset to your
company and is one of the reasons we look
forward to doing business with Wilson Trucking.
Please convey our appreciation to Judy for
her excellent service. Best wishes to her
and the rest of you at Wilson Trucking.

Hi JC.
I hope you are doing well and staying cool.
I just booked a small Emerald Service shipment
with Buddy Munson in Fishersville. It is
a small shipment from RDU to Washington,
NC, but I would like to point out that it
was a very smooth process getting this set
up through him for Monday delivery 08/20.
Nice product that WTVA has, in my opinion.
This lane is becoming more and more frequent
due to imports from Italy, so hopefully as
my agency grows, so shall this business from
RDU.

John,
I would like to extend a very special thanks
to Buddy and Leigh Ann at the Emerald desk
for their outstanding service with our shipment
that we needed to get picked up at the Delta
air cargo terminal. I was told by Delta that
the shipment was ready for pickup, only to
find out that it still had not cleared customs.
Buddy and Leigh Ann worked nonstop to ensure
this shipment would be picked up and delivered
to our facility. They spent enormous amounts
of time on the phone with Delta, and I wanted
to make sure that their Manager knew just
how great they were.
Please extend our special thanks, and make
sure their Manager knows what a great job
they are doing. It is a pleasure to be able
to pick up the phone and get the service
that they provided!!

Chuck,
I hope this email finds you well! I wanted
to let you know that Wilson bailed our company
out of a jam last night. (A jam Garco caused.)
An order was supposed to ship yesterday for
one of our large clients, but we failed to
ship it. I found out about this at 7pm last
night. I called Steve Holmes at your North
Atlanta Terminal and asked if there was any
chance this could be picked-up and delivered
to Jacksonville, FL the next day. Knowing
something about the business I knew this
was a long shot (with our location). Steve
advised me he would divert a driver over
to our location to pick it up and that he
would get the order (4 pallets) to Jacksonville
Friday. The driver picked the shipment up
at 8:15 and the shipment is in Jacksonville
now! Wow !! We cannot ask for better service
than this; our client is extremely happy
that this important order made it through.
Steve’s commitment to customer service was
outstanding.
Thank you !!!

Dear Mr. Wilson,
On behalf of Father Planty, Pastor and Holy
Family parish here in Dale City, I wanted
to extend to you our utmost gratitude and
appreciation for donating the use of a 53-foot
trailer this past July 1-3 for our church
pew renovation. The transportation of the
pews to our Church was the most critical
aspect of this project, and we could not
be happier with the results.
In addition, thank you for allowing Mr. Kenneth
Kuendel to perform this service and transport
our new pews to the church. His aid in this
endeavor made the process go as smoothly
as possible. We have been truly blessed by
his professionalism and generosity to our
parish.
Please be assured of our prayers for you

Mr Cruise,
I wanted to let you know I was very happy
with the service received today by one of
your shippers out of your Fredricksburg office.
I cannot find his name on the shipping notice...,
but he was extremely courteous, easy to work
with in a difficult situation, and went the
distance to get my oven safely to my residence.
My 330# Thermador oven arrived in what appears
to be excellent shape.
Your dispatchers were great to work with
as well - they were flexible enough to let
me choose an alternative date, said delivery
would be between noon to five, and he was
here at noon! How refreshing! I will be sure
to consider Wilson Trucking first for all
my future trucking needs.

Dale Duke
Wilson Trucking Corporation
Hello, Dale,
My name is Teresa Church and I am the shipping
Manager for Lewisburg Printing .I just wanted
to send this email about a driver that we
used to have and you have taken him away.
His name is David Brown I know that you have
taken him away to help the company, Wilson
Trucking, and I understand this, but I also
wanted to let you know that I miss him alot,
a whole lot.
David did not only pick our freight up, there
were times when the freight wasn't exactly
ready, and David would wait for this and
help prepare the pallet or pallets for shipping.
I know that with being the shipping manager
with my company that I have used several
trucking companies and there has never been
and never will be a replacement for DAVID
BROWN.
I could always depend on David and go on
home after work if he was running late and
I knew without any doubt that by morning
my freight would be picked up.
(David's replacement) is good, do not ever
think that he is not, but .... there will
be no replacement ever for David Brown.
I do not know what you all pay David but
if everyone had a David Brown then it would
help make the shipping process an easier
job.
Thanks .

Hi Gary.
Just thought I would let you know how the
delivery yesterday went on your latest shipment
to In The Woods. The Asheville terminal manager

shipment so that he could meet the owners

the manner they require. I think we have
made believers out of them.

Thanks to all you guys for going out of your

G.A. Presley
Manager, Conover Terminal
Wilson Trucking Corporation
Dear Mr. Presley,
I wanted to thank you and commend you and
your company for your excellent service!
You went the extra mile (no pun intended)
to ensure that our delivery got to our remote
location. Furthermore, you were gracious
and understanding about the problem of delivering
in a mountain location with a crusher-run
road, to the point of personally delivering
the weighty item with a van.
You were polite and professional throughout,
even though it required extra time and effort
on your part. You willingly offered to help
us move the heavy item up off the driveway
onto the porch. As the item weighed over
400 pounds, that was above and beyond the
call of duty. We thank you personally, Mr.
Presley.
My wife and I are grateful and recommend
you heartily to any other customer that would
use your trucking company. (You can use our
testimonial, if you like.)
Please share this letter with your management.
You deserve more than a pat on the back.
Sincerely,

Dale Duke
Wilson Trucking Corporation
Mr. Duke,
I want to take this opportunity to let you
know that Craig, who picks up here at our
distribution center, is one of the best drivers
in the industry. We think the world of him,
and appreciate the fact that he is really
on top of his game.
I would like to relay an incident from earlier
this week....My guys pulled an order of chairs
to be shipped to VA. The order called for
9 cartons of chairs, and a chair cart, which
should have been 500+ lbs shipping weight.
In error, the warehouse staff pulled just
9 chairs and the cart, secured them to a
pallet and had them ready for pick up on
the scheduled day. Craig actually is the
one who pointed out that the order didn't
look or feel like 500+ lbs. They then realized
their error, and were able to hold the shipment
for the next day and correctly pick the order.
This obviously saved us in freight charges,
and the embarrassment we would have suffered
had our order shipped out incorrectly. All
because Craig caught the error on the shipment.
Many times the drivers pull in and pull out
to the next pick up and just sign the BOL
without really looking at it. On our end
we try to make sure the information is correct,
but errors happen. We have always found Craig
to be friendly and willing to go above and
beyond the call of duty. I just wish all
of the carriers had at least one "Craig"....and
of course I would hope they were all assigned
to Murfeesboro!
As a Customer Service Manager, I am always
impressed by those who treat their customers
as I would treat my own. I am also a firm
believer in giving credit where credit is
due. So, whatever Wilson does for recognizing
outstanding performance in employees...please
consider Craig! If ever I need another warehouse
guy, I just might try to steal him from you.....

To whom it may concern:
The delivery guy, Craig Renaldi, that delivers
to our house is AWESOME! If he hasn't had
a raise in a while, you should consider it!
He always has a smile on his face, even while
he's doing all he can to get 1000(+)lb. tool
boxes down our driveway. He always leaves
them behind our house not to be seen from
the road and he never beats on our door or
rings the door bell a million times, like
other delivery guys, waking my napping child!
Hmm...he also has really good hand writing
on the receipts and talks to my son, who
loves "BIG TRUCKS!"
Thanks for being our delivery guy, Craig,

Jeffrey W Saunders
Wilson Trucking Corporation
Mr. Saunders,
I just wanted to drop you a note to let you
know what a pleasure it was working with
Michelle Staples over the telephone the last
two days.
I had a vender inadvertently ship some critical
freight via ... Freight Lines. What should
have been an overnight delivery turned into
a potential disaster.
On Tuesday when my shipment did not show
up I called my vender to see where it was,
he advised me that he did not ship with my
preferred vender. He assured me that I would
have it on Wednesday. On Wednesday it did
not show up so I started tracking it myself.
It was at this point that I had the misfortune
to talk with one of ... Freight Lines customer
service reps. They told me that it was somewhere
between Dallas and Nashville and it would
likely be sometime next week before I could
expect to see it. They did tell me that it
was to be turned over to Wilson and gave
me your number in Atlanta.
This is where Michelle picked up the ball.
She advised me that from this point it would
go to Atlanta. I called back Thursday A.M.
to verify the current status, although she
could not verify for certain due to the fact
it did not have a Wilson pro# yet, she took
my name and number and promptly called me
back when this information was available.
Although I still haven't received my freight
yet I feel confident that with her effort
and coordination with your Atlanta terminal
and Jimmy Johnson in Mobile I should be able
to pick this up at your terminal Friday morning
and meet my customer's deadline.
I am in the industrial service business and
things don't always go as planned, but when
you hit a bump in the road it is quality
people like Michelle that make the difference
solving day to day problems.
Thanks again for Michelle.

Chuck and Guy,
Hope this email finds you both well. Just
a short email to sing the praises of the
WTVA staff there in Fishersville. I stay

been calling very often. On every occasion
that I call, the people I speak with are
courteous and helpful. I would like to mention

Mike Suter, Vicki May, Tony Robinson, and
yes, even Terry Rohr for their willingness
to help. It is a pleasure to work together
with these folks to make WTVA a stronger
company. Just wanted to voice my appreciation
for these guys... These types of people make
the difference.
Thank you.

David:
This morning I received some wonderful comments
on Leigh Ann Clark's handling of the Emerald
Service Shipments.
I needed to pass this along to you because
this person who called would like the proper
individual to know and a special note put
in her record for the excellent work she
has done.
This comes from Brian at Hanshin Cargo in
care of JAS Forwarding in Atlanta, GA.
There was a shipment that she handled for
him recently dealing with our Orlando, Fl
terminal and he said she continued working
with him and saw it through to the end, gave
the pod info and was flawless in her efforts
to make Emerald work for us.
Please see that a special note is placed
in her folder. He also commented that our
Atlanta terminal did exquisite work as well.
I thanked him for his comments and encouraged
him to use Wilson Trucking in the future
for all of their trucking needs and to be
sure to let us know of any future Emerald
problems that we could handle for him.
Have a great day.

We are very happy with the transit times,
customer service, and all aspects of Wilson
Trucking.
We would especially like to thank Ronnie
Deese, our Atlanta Account Executive as well
as a Marshall Faircloth in the Elm City (Rocky
Mount) terminal. They both have gone above
and beyond to help in all possible ways.
Normally I have to waste a lot of time fixing
freight problems, but this isn't the case
with Wilson. On a recent shipment, Marshall
was especially helpful and made dealing with
freight a pleasant experience. Usually I
dread problems, but this was a pleasure.
Even though it was our mistake, it was caught
and fixed by Marshall before it became a
big problem. We appreciate the hard work
and additional effort put in by these gentlemen.
Keep up the good work!!!

This correspondence is to praise and applaud
the efforts of the driver who delivered my
Entertainment Center today, and I would appreciate
your making note of the excellent work put
forth my the Driver who delivered my Sauder
unit. I have come down with a severe cold
since I made plans to get my Center into
the house by my own "Billy power"
and felt incapable of lugging these heavy
and unwieldy packages into my upstairs staging
area. I watched in awe as my Driver moved
the 100 pound packages, safely and easily.
Just getting to my house was near impossible
and he tried every avenue to complete his
delivery and did so extremely well. He even
came up with the idea to use other available
resources. This man is to be commended in
the highest order.
Thank you.

I wanted to recognize Terrence in Atlanta
Dispatch for his help Monday. At about 4:20
yesterday, Steve Shackelton from AVL called
questioning where Pro ******** was as his
customer was advising they had not received
this freight which was to be loaded on an
airplane later in the evening.
I called Atlanta, and Terrence in Dispatch
advised me that it was out, but this consignee
was not at this address. He held while I
called shipper and verified that the consignee
had moved and the proper address was actually
about 2 miles away. I gave him the new address
and he assured me that he would get this
delivered yesterday, which he did. AVL has
since faxed a corrected BOL.
There is always a big focus on the negative
and not enough on the positive. This is the
type of customer service that will help us
grow.
Please pass along my thanks to Terrence for
his help in taking care of AVL!

December 13, 2006
Dear Sirs:
I am writing to you in reference to an unusual
act of kindness on behalf of your employee,
Mr. David Fletcher. On December 8, Mr. Fletcher
made a delivery of four cartons of chairs
and a chair dolly to Calvary Lutheran Church
in Baltimore. We were not expecting this
delivery until December 13 and we had made
arrangements to have someone near the church
to accept the delivery and place the chairs
in the proper room. Because the delivery
was so early, there was no one at the church
to accept the delivery except the secretary.
Mr. Fletcher said that he would bring the
delivery in and place the chairs in the entryway.
At Calvary, we also conduct a day school
and it so happened the the lower grades were
having their Christmas program later that
day. The delivery in the entryway would have
been inconvenient and probably against Fire
Code. The situation was explained to Mr.
Fletcher and he kindly went the extra mile
and took the delivery down a long hallway
and placed the chairs and the dolly in the
proper room. His actions were very much appreciated
by the secretary and by everyone else at
the church. I would appreciate it if you
would convey our thanks to Mr. Fletcher.
Very truly yours,
Katherine W. Lindhorst

Wilson Trucking Corporation
Jim,
First I would like to wish you and everyone
at Wilson Trucking a Merry Christmas and
Happy Holidays. Another year has passed by
and we are reflecting on another successful
year together.
One of the major highlights has been the
positive results of adding the CSR rep in
CLT to minimize problems and maximize communication.
We have been very pleased with this decision.
Tracy has done an outstanding job and we
really value her services and hopefully you
can agree there has been sustained growth
as a result.
Secondly, I wanted to make mention and express
our pleasure with the Hope Mills terminal
staff in negotiating a very difficult delivery
yesterday. Both your dispatcher Jeff Elkins
and driver Alphonso Baker went above and
beyond our expectations in making a very
critical delivery to Analytical Perspectives
in Wilmington.
This delivery had all the "recipes"
for failure, i.e.liftgate, appointment delivery,
required pallet jack service....need I say
anymore? But they made it happen and we greatly
appreciated it...
Great Job Hope Mills and all of Wilson Trucking!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all
and let's keep growing the business together....

Hi Clayton!
I just wanted to bring a situation regarding
Wilson to you. Last week something happened
at the Orlando DC and Menorah House in Boca
Raton’s order got on the skids going out
to Glades Health Care in Boca Raton. When
customer service figured it out they called
Tom at Wilson in Pompano. He sent a truck
out to Glades Health in Pahokee and picked
up the order and redelivered it to Menorah
House on Wednesday before Thanksgiving so
they would have their order before the holiday
weekend. I think this is going above and
beyond in customer service and I wanted to
recognize Tom for his excellence customer
service skills. And thank you for having
Wilson Truck line handle all the south Florida

Mr. Morton,
I wanted to take a moment to let you know
that, in my opinion, you have an employee
that goes beyond the description of his job.
Mr. Jesse Sandoval has made many deliveries
here at the Bank of America and not once
has he not helped us unload the freight and
get it to a location that makes it easier
for us to handle.
I have had other companies and drivers refuse
to help unload the freight, much less move
it to a location that we need. Mr. Sandoval
always helps and does so with a smile.
To me, this is great customer service and
you are fortunate to have an employee like
Mr. Sandoval.

I just thought I would share some good news

He tells our competition, "Don't even talk to me about the southeast.

This was a Progress Printing delivery to

The lady called Progress Printing to advise

did an outstanding job. He was very nice

I received a call from C H Robinson to advise
how happy the lady was with WTVA.

Today I had an occasion to have about 65
gallons of paint delivered by one of your
trucks. The same young man delivered paint
to me on 8-21-06. I must tell you that he
was just the most pleasant young man.
I normally have a forklift driver back in
the yard. Today I did not and told him he
would have to off load the paint by hand
onto the dock.
Most young people that I have come in contact
with since working at Clyde Nettles would
have really given me some "attitude"
because it was going to cause them some effort.
But I must tell you, this young man did not.
I didn't catch his name, but I wish you would
tell him he is doing a good job and the "old"
lady at Clyde Nettles appreciated his attitude.

Sometimes good performances need to be passed
on when they result in the success of Wilson
Trucking as a Transportation Company.
During the last week, customers paid high
compliments to our two Customer Service Representatives
Diane Dage and Brenda Alexander.
First, Diane was complimented with her handling
of possible lost shipments for a customer
in which the customer, Holly Isaac of Associated
Building Specialties, stated "Diane is always very fast and thorough in
handling our problems".
Second, Brenda received a compliment from
Richie at Imcopex in Melbourne stating "Brenda is a joy to deal with, making (my)
day that much easier to cope with problems".
When customers request me to pass along this
information to the right people this surely
is a sign that Wilson is building relationships
in a positive manner.

he was able to back in and unload it into

To Jim Rogers,
I just wanted to send you a quick note thanking
you and your warehouse staff for the wonderful
job done with our big freezer order at the
beginning of May. As you know, we shipped
out over 52 total freezers without major
problems or freight damage, 26 from our MD
location and 26 from our VA location.
Both of the pickups at our locations went
well. We only had one small problem with
the MD location which was rectified in a
very timely manner by the dispatch in the
office. The Chesapeake terminal did a fantastic
job of receiving and then storing our equipment
until our customer was ready for the pick
up which was done over a two day process.
Our customer has stated they made the whole
unloading and reloading quick and easy they
would also like to thank them for all of
the help they provided.
This was a first such type order in the history
of Silver Eagle Marketing but because of
the ease of shipping with Wilson, we hope
that it will not be the last. We look forward
to working with you and your company in the
future for both our big and small shipping
needs.

Dear Mr. Wilson,
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank Wilson Trucking employees for having
the best customer friendly attitude in the
industry.
Through the 7+ years I have interacted with
Wilson Trucking, the employee attitudes have
been wonderful. We have had bumps in the
road with service from time to time, but
that is the case with all carriers we do
business with. But what makes Wilson Trucking
staff stand above the rest is the friendly
and caring attitudes starting with our salesrep
(and going) to every department within the
Atlanta Terminal.
We have 5 carriers that load on a regular
basis but with each of the other carriers,
I can not make the statement that I am satisfied
with overall employee attitude; not service,
but employee attitude. With Wilson Trucking
employees, I do feel that our business is
important, no matter how large or small.
Great job ladies and gentlemen, and keep
up the good work.

Dear Mr. Wilson;
This is the second letter I have written
regarding Donnie Hockaday and I am pleased
to do so. I would like to relate an incident
which demonstrates what an excellent employee
Donnie is. Last week Highway Safety Supply
had scheduled a pick-up with Wilson Trucking
but we were unable to have the pallets ready
in time. Donnie came when I was out of the
office, took the paperwork from my office
manager, drove to the warehouse, set up the
order on the pallet, packaged it up with
the shrink-wrap, and loaded the pallet onto
his truck. This "extra effort"
is far above and beyond the norm for any
truck driver. What outstanding public relations
he represents for Wilson Trucking.

I know you always talk about it but here
is a great example of your customer service
in action. I had a pro #xxxxxxxx of which
I was looking for delivery information. When
I called the main number a gentleman named
Tony was polite, traced it and connected
me to the local terminal for further info
rather than speculating when it was to deliver.
When I was connected to the Newington terminal
Jim gave me a complete run down on it with
an ETA and instructions for delivery. It
seems like such a small thing but I almost
never have to call your customer service
group and this is just a prime example of
the old fashioned service you speak of; no
message machines, no rushed answers, no guessing.
Thank you for the continued service you provide

I wanted to tell you what a good job Ken
Taylor, Fayetteville Terminal Manager, and
his team did for me. He was picking up for
me 2 loads going to Atlanta GA for my Customer
who was closing that plant. As it turned
out, he and his Driver Sales Reps had to
go into the building to get the product for
the Customer. They did and I had the problem
solved and he brought in another Driver Sales
Rep. I deal with details everyday for Customers,
and to have the Fayetteville team do this
with a great attitude was very helpful and
much appreciated.
I have worked in the LTL business for 24
yrs prior to coming here. It is NOT about
a Corp. Office about Fishersville VA....It
is about the people that do their best each
and every day with a genuine sense of commitment.
The LTL business is a tough environment.
The Carrier that excels in Customer Service,
and not "talk", will be the winner,
much like this situation.
Again, I thank the Fayetteville Team!

Dear Jim, Chuck, Guy, Al and Randy
I am sure you primarily hear from clients
when there are problems, but my staff asked
me to let you know that Linda (O'Neal) in
Chesapeake and Lisa (Scruggs) in Atlanta
have gone over and beyond normal customer
service, and that I should let you know how
much we appreciate their efforts. You have
many other good staff members, and our sales

operationally during some recent problematic

Good vendors are hard to find and we would
not be able to service our clients and build
the reputation we have without Wilson and
the people behind the scenes.

Cleveland Vocational Industries Inc of Shelby,
NC would like to share our story of exceptional
performance by Wilson Trucking in the 2005
Holiday Gift Package for Inmates, operated
by SecurityPlus Packaging, and the North
Carolina Department of Corrections (NCDOC).
Cleveland Vocational Industries Inc (CVII)
is a “workcenter for the severely disabled”
– we provide “employment and training opportunities
to individuals with barriers to employment.”
We serve approximately 150 individuals with
a variety of disabling conditions – mostly
developmentally disabled. In our search for
appropriate work for the individuals we serve,
CVII bid on and won the NCDOC contract to
provide the “Holiday Package Program for
Inmates”.
Under that contract, CVII created SecurityPlus
Packaging to execute the contract; in 2005,
SPP accepted 19,948 orders from families
of inmates or their friends, from a menu
of 150 products. These orders created 24,295
boxes – or more than 506 pallets of Christmas
packages.
These pallets, sorted by delivery location,
were loaded on to pre-positioned Wilson trailers,
on a strict schedule, and delivered to 80
NCDOC locations in a four day “window”. The
deliveries had to arrive on a specific date,
as many of the delivery locations had to
arrange special manning to accomplish the
unloading, and at some locations, within
a specific “time” window.
As of this letter, SPP has polled the 80
delivery locations and with only one exception,
found Wilson’s performance exceptional, and
in multiple cases, found your performance
was worthy of specific comment – for the
helpfulness and courtesy of the individual
drivers. The only exception was one institution
that received their delivery a day early!
But that’s not the end of the story. Our
experience with Wilson started months before,
and those experiences are also worthy of
comment as they typify the kind of excellent
service Wilson offered through out the program.
Our primary and initial point of contact
was Trisha Thornton, a sales representative
from the Charlotte Terminal. Trisha Thornton
contacted us immediately after Service Transport
– our previous carrier closed. Trisha previously
worked for Service and was aware of the importance
of this program to CVII. While her employer
had changed, Trisha’s dedication to her customer
base did not – her performance was exemplary!
From her first contact, Trisha managed the
pricing process, kept us informed regarding
fuel surcharges, and when appropriate included
her Terminal Manager, Terry Dixon, and continued
as our initial point of contact through a
difficult and complex logistics effort.
With Mr. Dixon’s assistance, SPP and Wilson
Trucking negotiated a complex departure schedule
of nearly 30 trailers. Where appropriate,
SPP and Wilson loaded trailers with complete
shipments (all pallets headed to a single
location), to minimize “cross loading of
trailers at terminals, and often arranged
“direct” shipment of trailers to delivering
terminal locations. In other cases, SPP and
Wilson agreed on a “load plan” to efficiently
and cost effectively load trailers to minimize
handling and speed delivery.
However, the real success, and the true story
of Wilson’s (and Terry’s) customer service
WAS NOT the story of perfect “planning” –
it was the story of what happened when “things
went wrong”. During the 8 days of departures
(in order to meet the delivery schedule),
Terry was always available to take our calls,
pre-position trailers, re-arrange pick up
schedules, change the order of shipments.
In every case, these changes were accomplished
cheerfully, and with an understanding of
the pressures that prevented SPP, in all
cases, from having the freight available
for pickup on the schedule we had created.
In short, even in cases where SPP could not
meet our own schedule, Terry Dixon and Wilson
Trucking made SPP “look like stars!”
In cases where SPP mis-loaded trailers, Wilson
Trucking warehouse employees, and Terry,
carefully got the pallets re-routed. In cases
where SPP could not get trailers loaded in
time, Terry re-arranged schedules and resources
to “make” the schedule happen, and in the
only case (and one caused by SPP), where
pallets got incorrectly delivered, Terry
and outlying terminals, managed an incredibly
brief “turn-around” to get the pallets correctly
delivered.
In the field, 7 of the delivery locations
took special note of some element of customer
service from the delivery personnel – special
effort in unloading, in rescheduling a delivery
time, in finding missing pallets. These are
of course, the stock in trade of a trucking
company, but these instances of exceptional
service were unsolicited, and therefore very
worthy of note.
All together, Wilson’s effort were an integral
part of the success SPP enjoyed in the 2005
program – a program that created over $48,000
in salaries for individuals with disabilities,
a program that allowed NC inmates to receive
over 19,000 Christmas packages – the only
time during the year when this is possible.
SPP could not expect to earn repeat business
form the NCDOC without the kind of service
offered by Wilson Trucking.
SPP will undoubtedly continue our relationship
with Wilson Trucking – from our perspective,
Wilson Trucking was an exceptional partner!
PS – If some enterprising soul in Wilson’s
Marketing Department wanted to write a story
for your industry press, this story – with
its connection to a heartwarming holiday
story (jobs for individuals with disabilities,
Christmas packages to 20,000 inmates, exceptional
holiday service), geez, I guess we’d be delighted
to be the subject!

There was a mess-up Monday. We had a shipment
going to AEC and another shipment of displays
going to our sales rep in Royston,GA. It
is serviced out of Greenville, SC. I am not
sure what happened on the shipment to GA
but it ended up in Miami with the AEC shipment.
I am not sure if we put the wrong trackers
on it here or if it got switched in your
system. Mistakes happen and whether it was
ours or yours is not the important part.
The important part is how the are handled
when they are discovered. You guys handled
it PERFECTLY!
I called the Memphis office and was put in
touch with the Greenville terminal. I explained
that the rep needed those displays for the
weekend and was leaving his house today at
10 am heading to Atlanta for a doctor's appointment
so he could not receive the shipment after
10. Greenville seemed worried about whether
or not the could get it done but they did.
My rep called me at 9 this morning and told
me the shipment was there at his house. This
was a big deal for us because those displays
have to be setup in Best Buy stores by Sunday.
Thanks for all your hard work. Please pass
this on to everyone that was involved and
all of their management team.
Like I said , mistakes happen, the important
part is how they are handled to correct them.

Dear Kevin,
I want to thank you and your terminal for
your help with the Covenant Transport load
for BJ's in Jacksonville, FL... We were told
it was refused because the last 3 pallets
had slipped off their pallets, but it sounds
like it was worse than that.
We thought the driver would be able to restack
it by himself, but I understand it took 2
of your dock hands 2 hours to help him straighten
up the mess. Covenant now has an appointment
to redeliver this load tomorrow. Withouth
your help, that might not have been possible.
Again, thanks for going the extra mile and
helping out GSK on this load. I have heard
of Wilson Trucking because you've done some
LTL interlining for us in the past. Now I
know that freight was in good hands if all
Wilson terminals are as good and helpful

Phillip Garner
Kevin Rathbun
Wilson Trucking
Phillip and Kevin,
I wanted to formally extend thanks from GlaxoSmithKline
for an 'above and beyond the call' service
provided to us on Monday, April 18.
A recap of the problem and remedy follows:
A Covenant Transport Truckload shipment from
the GSK Hanover, Pennsylvania distribution
center to the BJs Distribution Center in
Jacksonville, FL, was refused at delivery
on 4/18 by BJs due to the product shifting
off the pallets during transport.
Covenant Transportation then called Dennis
Kovacevich, Hanover Distribution Center Manager
and shipper for guidance on the refused load.
Dennis in turn called me seeking possible
help from someone in the Jacksonville area
to get the load re-stacked and in shape for
redelivery to BJs in order to avoid having
to return the load to Hanover, PA.
Phillip Garner with Wilson happened to be
with me for a quarterly review meeting when
the call from Dennis came in. Phillip then
called the Wilson Jacksonville Terminal Manager,
Kevin Rathbun, to explore any avenues for
help. We had initially asked for a dock and
space where the Covenant driver could restack
the affected pallets.
Mr. Rathbun agreed to provide Covenant a
dock door at the Jacksonville terminal. This
information was relayed back to Covenant,
who proceeded to the Wilson terminal.
Upon arrival at the Wilson terminal, it was
found that the extent of the shifting extended
beyond the scope of the initial report, and
Kevin sent 2 of his dock associates to help
the Covenant driver in restacking and rewrapping
all of the affected pallets of product.
This allowed GSK to redeliver to BJs the
following day, and avoided the cost of returning
the entire shipment to Hanover, PA.
This type of cooperation and help is something
to recommended. What more can I say but..
Thanks to Wilson, and especially Kevin and
Phillip!
With appreciation,

Hello,
I am a current customer of Wilson Trucking
and work with your Nashville, TN & Huntsville,
AL terminals. On 1/03 I had the pleasure
to work with Mr. Al Fortune out of Atlanta.
Our freight has been mis-routed due to our
own error. A shipment that was due to Zanesville,
OH was loaded in ATL on a truck for Tampa,
FL. Needless to say, I had a big problem.
Mr. Fortune took the matter into his own
hands and had the freight located, off-loaded
and ready to pick up by another carrier within
two hours. All bills were adjusted and freight
was on the way like this problem never happened.
We at Panalpina do appreciate the customer
service that we receive from Wilson Trucking
everyday. I just wanted to say Thank You
for all of your efforts.

All Employees,
If you don't think extra effort counts...think
again. On Monday, December 13th we placed
a much needed order with a vendor in Suwanee,
Georgia near Atlanta. We were expecting 2
day service, so we made our customers aware
of this time frame and they accepted it.
However, Wilson Trucking put that order in
our warehouse at 10:45 AM the next day!!! Due to your exceptional service, 3 families
got their automobiles delivered back to them
by the repair shops (our customers), 1-2
days earlier.
We have contacted the shipper, Genera Corp;
and asked that they only use Wilson Trucking
for our freight shipments and explained to
them what great service you delivered!!!
We have always valued our relationship with
Wilson and this is just one more reason we
can show your competitors the door whey they
come knocking. Great job and many thanks.

Dear Mr. Wilson,
Our relationship with your company started
15 years ago when Rob started Spectrum Lighting
and I was given the task of finding a new
trucking company. At that time, I love hunter
green and my father gave me the advice of
looking for one who had clean equipment and
"good tires". I, with no knowledge
of anything business, got lucky and picked
Wilson Trucking.
Spectrum Lighting is a distribution center
for Satco and American Fluorescent Corporation.
Wilson has been a major part of our success
and your people in Charlotte have helped
with the stress of trying to please many
customers.
Buddy Barrier, Terry Dixon, Jimmy, Perry
and the drivers have become part of the Spectrum
family. Our few problems are handled promptly
and what they tell us happens, something
that is hard to find these days. They do
a lot of good PR work for Wilson and for
Spectrum Lighting.
In June, we will be expanding again and doubling
our space to take on more lines. We look
forward to doing more business with your
company.

Dear Ricky,
I want to express my gratitude for a job
well done. Delores Mullens called me and
wanted to be sure I commended you for a consistent
job well done.
What gratifies me the most is your tireless
effort on the longest peddle run in Richmond.
This is not the only customer I have heard
from regarding your personable approach to
your customers.
Your ability to grab the concept of Quality
Customer Care is exemplified in the attached
letter.
Your efforts are appreciated and notes such
as this prove you are a team player. WTVA
Richmond is a better facility due to your
efforts.
Thanks again.

Dear Mr. Wilson,
Donnie Hockaday has been delivering to our
company for the last several months. He is
one of the most cooperative truck drivers
who come to our warehouse. He is always friendly
and goes that little bit extra to get a difficult
job done quickly. He is a valuable public
relations asset for Wilson Trucking.
Sincerely,
John H. Bossong, President
